Dr. S. Max Vale
Dr. Vale is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
He earned his M.D. from the University of Missouri, magna cum laude, and was inducted into AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha honor society). In medical school, Dr. Vale was elected as a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and received the James L. Chapel Scholarship in recognition of his concern for others and compassionate care. He then completed a Transitional Year internship focusing on both medicine and surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Washington Division of Dermatology and was honored as a Chief Resident.
Dr. Vale’s clinical interests include general medical dermatology for adult and pediatric populations, skin surgery, and cosmetic dermatology, with a special interest in LGBTQ health. He has authored several papers and given local and national talks on many topics, including patient satisfaction, health policy and economics, men’s health, and skin cancer.
He also maintains an active academic practice as an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, where he is involved in medical student and resident education, and patient care.
In his free time, Dr. Vale enjoys eating all kinds of foods, making music (singing, saxophone), seeing new movies, and spending time with his family, including his husband, two cats, and German Shepherd Dog.
Dr. A. Laurin Likosky
Dr. Likosky is a board-certified dermatologist.
She grew up in Tucson, Arizona where she attended undergrad at the University of Arizona. She graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and was elected to AOA honor society. She completed her internship at the University of Washington and returned to the University of Arizona for her dermatology residency.
Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her husband, 2 kids, and French bulldog. She enjoys cooking, eating out, drinking coffee, knitting, exercising and perusing Costco and Trader Joe’s.
Dr. Alice Ormsby
Dr. Ormsby is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical and surgical dermatology.
She attended Stanford University for her undergraduate degree in biology and received the Steinbach award for her contributions to the Biology Department. She received her MD from Duke University and went on to complete an Internal Medicine Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She immediately changed course and completed her Dermatology Residency at the University of California San Francisco.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking, especially trying new recipes of her Italian heritage, clothing construction, gardening, biking, vacation golf, and reading historical biographies. Her most cherished time is spent with her husband of over 35 years and their young adult twins. Having a daughter close by and a son who lives and works in Midtown Manhattan is also a bonus!
Dr. Andrea Rea
Dr. Rea is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in general medical dermatology.
Originally from the Seattle area, Dr. Rea completed medical school at the University of Washington, where she graduated with the highest honors, was inducted into the AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha honor society) and was a two-time Odland Scholar – an award bestowed by the Dermatology Department to medical students in recognition of academic excellence and intellectual curiosity. She then completed a Transitional Year at the Spokane Teaching Health Program, followed by her dermatology residency at the University of Washington.
After residency, Dr. Rea began her career on the faculty at the University of Washington, and in her role as Clinical Assistant Professor, she saw patients and taught medical students and residents.
Outside of work, she loves to spend time outdoors rock climbing, hiking and doing amateur photography. She also loves trying new and interesting cheeses and maintaining a relatively large collection of tropical houseplants.
